Default ST3500vsVIG3600

Not sure which one is right for me. I am concerned about the code issue from the st3500 with my 01, but it seems not everyone has had problems.I have no major future mods planned except for longtubes, current mods are in my sig. I would appreciate any feedback on either converter. Thanks

The Vig 3600 is more of a 4200-4400 stall

the comparable Vig for a ST3500 is a Vig 3200. Either one of these is an excellent choice for someone that wants a good performance converter, but doesn't want to move up to the next level. The next level, meaning that you care more about ET than drivability. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

Drivability is not that big of a deal, I have a second car and company truck. I am looking for the best ET gain. Is the 3600 too much?

I put in a ST3500 in my 01' Z and it set the P0757 code two days later. It was a quart low on fluid so that may have something to do with it. This is a kick *** convertor though, the performance difference was huge! Even with 2.73 gears, I think it is very streetable and a lot more fun to drive than stock.

I've been thinking of an ST3500 as my next mod.
How ill that go w/ my 3.23's?
Will i be throwing codes?
And, why do converters throw codes <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

P.S. My car is a daily driver

Thanx <img src="graemlins/formula.gif" border="0" alt="[Pontiac]" />

The ST3500 will work GREAT with your 3.23's.
Codes? few 99's had that problem.
Why? It is a PCM issue.

Rec: For ET get the YTP 4400 or ST 4000 .

cobra: I had the ST3500 with 3.23s and liked it. Its a little loose, but very livable and the performance is wonderful.

I got the Vig 3600 in my impala and it revs so high like 4400 floored. Great for the track with my 3.73's but not so good on the street and just try to dyno a car that stalls at 4400 and shifts at 6200 it happens pretty danm fast!

SuperThruster not Stealth. Stealth series are much lower performing convereters.

Seems the only person actually that has a Vig 3600 is an Impala owner..Yes his flashes very high..But that is probably due to the Impalas lofty weight and he has a LTI..(more weight and torqe more stall) <img src="gr_tounge.gif" border="0"> Seems that there are not near as many problems with Vig as are with the yank..Personaly i recomend the Vig..Either way your gonna have one leaving S.o.B <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
