Which converter with 3.73s??
I am runnin 12.80s @106 with a TCI 'verter but I am lookin for 12.5s. I have BFGs, and my best 60 is 1.87. I dont really worry about driveability.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
BTW..This has got to be one of the best info sources on the web. Thanx.

I saw a car at the track run a 12.2@110 with a lid/filter, full exhaust exhaust and the Vig. 3200.
Numerous others have had awesome results with this converter as well...

I get nothin but good info. I have read and absorbed almost everything I can to make a good decision but I guess in the end its a matter of choice. You make a great point Patrick G but what makes one better than the other? I want to eventually go 11.99 or 12.0 on the verter I buy and other bolt ons without breakin open the motor.
Hopefuly thats not reserved to the Raughammers and Texans of the world. I am figuring another 2-3 tenths with the new verter wich is 12.5s.
1-2 with LT's andY-pipe...12.4or 3s. Then what??

Then take it to the next level, right now.
Get a ST 4000 or YTP 4000 or even the Raughammer special the YTP 4400. With 3.73s, 4000 stall is loose but pretty livable. You might get some manly tires too.

As for the Vig 3200/3.73:1 combo, it hits HARD! Once I get everything working well, I expect to see some 60' times in the 1.60 range with a 3,500#+ raceweight. At the track I cross the finish line right around 5,700 RPM's on 26x9x15" Hoosiers. Like Patrick's ST3500/3.73 combo, the Vig 3200 is hard to hook through 1st gear on the street when paired up with 3.73's. Do I regret upgrading to the gears with this converter? NO WAY! It feels great down the track, and it'll work even better once I have the heads/cam setup in place.

Yank TP-4400!
If your looking for the quickest time at the track... except no substitute!

I would second that opinion.
By the way, Congrats Raugh on the new best. You really would recommend the 4400 huh. Are the Yanks anything like the PIs in that they stall several hundred higher than advertised? Cause I think I wouldnt like a 5000 stall on the street.EEK!!!
What size slicks should I buy if I get a 4400? I am runnin 295/50/15 BFG DRs on older RS rims.
Thanx fellas. Also WILWAXU, I am gona try to make the Fbody event in Cecil in May.

Just remember, if you're going to add 3.73 gears with ANY of these converters, you're going to need ET Streets at a MINIMUM! Slicks would be even better.

The Vig is soundin real good right now but Damn, a TP4400!! I know all you hardcore guys are runnin it but are you tellin me that its gonna be able to help me out with basically a stock car.

Go to my Website... My car went 12.0's with basically a TP-4400 and ET Streets! It's still fairly close to stock... completely stock motor.
Has anyone tried the big Vig? What does it stall at on a stock motor? I am overwhelmed at all the help I am gettin here.
Hopefully me someday--
