Why would ppl want to trade for an A4
1st time to the track with a TCI conver, lid, borla, i got a 13.8@101 with a 2.1 60', on the first try, never got any more

i am planning to SLP headers, Nitrous Works 150 shot, and FTRA, and maybe a B1 cam...can i see low 12's with ET streets?

No converter is gonna be worth much if you can't hook. I don't know much about the TCI converters, but the right converter and tires would get you low 12s without the nitrous & cam.
It's not the A4 it's your engine. Sounds like you got 1 of the dud engines. My A4 ran bone stock 13.3 with a 2.46 60ft aka high 12 second car with decent traction. I never loose to M6 F-bodies so I can't see why you'd want one; A4's are the kings of drag racing.

My A4 with just FTRA and a whisper lid on street tires ran a 13.1 at 106 this weekend.

I wouldn't call it a dud. You CANNOT compare track times when they're at different altitudes, tracks, weather conditions, etc. The problem is your torque converter. I know of two other LS1's that have tried the TCI converters with little success. They just won't drop your ET like other converters will. I would suggest that you try to sell the TCI and go with a Vig 3200 converter. It's a GREAT street/strip converter, and you'll be able to hit your low 12's with ease. That's what I'm running, and I expect some high 11's this next weekend. If you watch the classifieds section, you can usually find one used. If you can find a Vig converter that still has its free stall change, then you can have it sent back to Precision Industries to be re-stalled to a Vig 3200 if that's what you want. You can buy a used Vig for $450-$525 usually. It will be the best swap you've done, and it will definitely allow you to achieve your ET goal.
yeah but, &^%@$#% i just spent like 600 for the TC and Trans cooler,,,and if i get another i will have to pay 100 to get it removed and another 750 for a Vig and 200 more to get it put back in, that is 1050.

I'm with BlackSuperSport. I'd want to figure out why I was trapping at 101 before worrying about ET. I'm assuming with a 2.1 short time it wasn't traction a traction issue.
You gotta have a pretty sick LS1 to run 101mph. I ran just under 103mph bone stock, and mine is/was 'slow'.
If you're running 101mph with mods, including a converter, you're hurtin somewhere. Try new plugs and wires recently? Got any SES codes? Cats clogged or something?
With longtubes, B1 cam, FTRA, and ET streets, you should be seeing high 11s, low 12s. With the 150 shot, low 11s are definitely possible.
Your friend's car seems pretty typical. Yours seems to have some issues. I would definitely work that out. I would also get rid of that crap TCI converter, a good Yank or Vigilante are what EVERYONE uses, basically. What's the stall and STR on it?

it is not the power of the car as i dynoed 302.4RWHP,,,i think the converter is robbing some of the power,,gonna get a VIG 3200. also it was my first time at the track,, gotta get my launch down.
Have you autotapped your car? You may be getting some serious KR. You need to do some ATAP runs and see where your O2's are @WOT, etc. 101 MPH is VERY low for ANY LS1
Do the converter swap your self. Save the labor-money.
A Yank super thruster 3500 would easily get you in the low 12's.... and high 11's with headers. That is if you have enough traction.
If you are attempting this with radials... it is a losing battle.
