stall ?
A stall puts the car in it's powerband extremely quick and when it shifts, keeps the car in the powerband (shift extension). A stall should be one of the first mods for the auto with drag radials of course.

so does the car drive normally or does it launch at the stall for instance...if you have a 3000 stall will the car only go at 3000rpm from drive???or will it remain stock going into drive as soon as shifted...sorry this is really a newbie question but i ahve no idea about stalls
Depends on how much throttle you give it. Mines for instance, the car won't start moving till 1500-2000 RPMs. If I give the car half throttle, she'll jump to 3000-3500 RPMs. Full throttle and she'll "flash" right to 3800-4000 RPMs, the Nitto Drags can't take that kind of hit though and she'll spin for a bit. Depending on your gears, I have 2.73s, will also determine on when the car starts to move. I like it alot and it feels extremely controllable since I can move the car at any RPM past 1500 with the touch of my foot.

ummm...lets see...well i will eventually throw a turbo on it..that is my main goal..this will happen next winter.but for this winter (while stored) i was wanting to have just a 75-100 shot,gears, build up the stock a4 alittle bit,cam (just a good mild cam)heads,headers,0ry, and any other bolt-ons. just looking to get around 400horse when i spray. thats the goal for this winter...but as everyone knows shyt changes. see this is also my 1st automatic so everything is alot different. all help is appreciated

Verdad Gallardo It's tough to say because you want to go turbo down the road and forced induction doesn't use huge cams. I would personally pick anything in the 3400-3600 range with 3.73s. You'll probably want to change down the road but a converter in that range would be a good start for now.

hmmm.... so what if i just wanted like a 3000 stall, nitrous, NO HEADS OR CAM, and my 3:7s gears...would that be a good street setup? im not wanting to go to the track.maybe i will eventually...but this is mostly street racing and shyt. all the opinions are awesome and thanks for your help

would gears be too crazy for the street.(not being able to hook up) or with a stall and 3:73 would i be fine??? also roarin you have a 3800 stall...is that too big for stock or do you suggest i get a 3000 too 3500 stall. and what kind?

My car is still near stock but you should plan to grow into your mods. Don't wind up getting something that you'll most likely change down the road because the car grew out of it. I would get 3.73s but I'd wait till I change the rear to a 12 bolt.
