What tranny cooler do y'all use?
cheap assssssss Hayden unit (16k GVWR i think). mounted real high in the center of the condensor. couldnt reach the tabs to mount it low...ill be re-doing it at some point.
As far as I can tell. I have not seen above 180 degrees on the fluid temp, in the middle of the summer.
With it sitting off the airdam like that, it gets looooots of flow.

I have the B&M 16000GVW also. How is everyone mounting theirs to the bottom of the condesor, and is it keeping tranny temps low enough in the summer? I have mine mounted to the bumber and air dam in the front of the car, but I want to move it. It blocks off too much air flow to my FTRA right now.

B&M 16,000GVW. It’s mounted to the bottom passenger side of the radiator/condenser support frame. Keeps the temps below 200 until I really start to beat on it...

B&M 24K mounted low on pass side of condensor.
136 degrees tranny temp at 70 ambient cruising @ 80 mph/1900 rpm.

I'm thinking of switching to your mounting style but I have a question:
Does it work well in slow stop & go traffic too?
With it currently on the condensor, when my fans kick on sitting at a stoplight, I can see the tranny temp drop. That helps in heavy traffic as the converter is being worked hard, but the car's speed is below 30 mph.</strong><hr></blockquote>
Like I said, highest I've seen was ~180 in the summer (stop + go on a 4 lane highway for 20 mins, 70-80 degree ambient temps).
I 'only' have a 3000 stall though. For reference, however, with the STOCK converter and NO cooler, I saw more than 240 degrees several times in the summer (more like 90 degrees though).
