Shift kit or change lone pressure?
Shift kit or change lone pressure? I'll be getting a stall in the next couple weeks and was wondering which I should do keep my line pressure bumped up (as it is now) or put in a transgo kit. my car is cammed and I will be getting a stall in the 3600-4000 range.
I have just the oppisite experience. I use Superior shift kits and there billet super servos in the stock transmissions. Nothing but the best of luck so far. We end up pushing the stock 60 and 65's pretty far without troubles for the most part.

The Trans-Go Performance Shift kit as is, does not offer very much in the way of performance. The "modified" Trans-Go Shift that I use in all of my builds, solves the shortcomings of the present kit. The "earlier" versions of the Trans-Go Performance Shift kits, worked very well, it is the later version that is designed to work with "torque management" that falls short.

pro built, was going to ask you what your kit differed from the normal trans go kit.. Guess im ok as i have the earlier kit and had to remove torque management via ls1 edit. Kit works good. Well i say you should do both and what i mean is get the shift kit (no amount of programming will equal a shift kit as you are changing boost valves and such as well as eliminating pwm) After the kit is installed go over it with an edditing program to custom tailor it to your driving style. Note do not go increasing line pressure after you install a **** kit as the kit itself will increase the pressure. Read read read the boards on automatic programming and you will be fine.
