Use the Duraprene pan gasket (about $1.50) with no sealant, & torque to 65-75 inch pounds. I've installed hundred's with no problems. I have not seen the gasket for the 4L60E you are describing.

I have had no trouble with the GM rubber type ones
but the cork one that came with one trans filter kit
squeezed out and broke, and gave me a nuisance fluid
leak that made me do the job all over again in a month.
If you get a cork gasket for free, throw it out and buy
a good one.

To make the cork & rubber work, the pan must be flat, and you torque it "ONCE", then they work ok. Still the Duraprene or the so-called rubber ones work better.
