Default High stall, tranny Life?

I have had to rebuild my tranny on two occations , with a stock stall. I am going to buy a fuddle 3500 stall next month. Will I have to start saving for a rebuild again? How "bad" are 3500 stalls on the trany (with stickys)? Thanks

well there certainly not easier on it than a stock converter, just keep the tranny cool and change fluid/filter regularly. I have 50k miles on my stock tranny with no issues, never rebuilt. About 8k miles w/a ss3600 converter and about 24 track passes, all with 1.7 60' or less. And previously probably closer to 50 track passes on the tranny. Dont know if that will help you out but thats been my experience.

Question should be is how often should the fluid/filter be changed? 10,15,20k miles?

thats why a cooler is recommended when upgrading your TC.

keep your temps down and youll be fine.

of course ragging on your car wil make things wear out faster but this will minimize it.

ive also had my fans turned on sooner along with a deeper trans pan.

tranny cooler is a must, i ran my tranny lines through my stock location in radiator as well as cooler, with a lower t-stat in car my tranny runs unbelievably cold.

Had a TCI SSF3500 for 3 years no issues. As all have said here a tranny cooler is a must. IMO the 3500 could have gone the life of the car 150k,200k,300k whatever that will be. Sent mine back to TCI for a restall.
