Default Torque management ? should i delete it??

I have a yank 3600 and have heard mixed ideas. I do not have a shift kit so i am not sure if i should have the torque management. I am having the car tuned tomorrow? Let me know if you have an experience with this question?

Why would you do mods to a car to make it faster, and then make it slower on the shifts????

I remove it on every tune I do.

For street driving or drag racing or both?

i would delete it, like was said above, if your going to mod it to make it faster then why make it slower my leaving the tq management on. I can understand if you had a truck that ws a DD and you were asking this, but on your car i would delete it.

Like the original poster was saying/asking, there are differing opinions. I too have not read/seen a definitive answer regarding whether or not deleting TM is a good idea for a daily driven car with a higher rpm stall TC.

I deleted mine......
One thing though it does put added stress on your tranny after so long...so get a shift kit and a trans cooler to help make the trans last longer......

the reason i asked is because without a shift kit there is going to be much added stress with my 3600 stall, obviously if i get a shift kit i would delete it but i did not delete it when i got it basic tuned due to wanting my tranny to last and not increasing line pressure, thanks for your inputs though

Just turn it down!! Its not a bad option if your spraying. I have mine set at a 10% reduction on my spray tune. People wonder why everyone says 4l60e's won't live cause everybody gets in there and screws with the tranny when they don't know what they are doing.

Very true. have you tried brake torqueing it yet? with that converter it should go to limp in. computer sees input rpm but no vehicle speed and sets limp mode.

haven't been to the track yet to brake torque it, the converter is so damn strong when i am going down the highway doing(no joke) 65-70 and put it to the floor it flashes up and breaks the tires loose with easy, i can't wait to get to the track of have summer here were the ground is warmer and so are the tires. i still have yet to feel its full potential,

i would say yes delete it all, i have a 4000 stall and its a DD, i feel that it is better to remove all the TC, i have HPT and have gone both ways with this, one being only removing 1/2 the TM and where im at now with the TM completly off. I like you had a stock trans when i did that, but do not i repete do not up your line pressure ot somethign crazy like 120, stock is 80 and i wouldnt go much above 90, all depends on how hard of ashift your looking for. But like has been said, its personal preferance. each to their own i guess

I say get rid of it also.
I tuned it out and its like a free unbolted mod. If you push a car hard something is going to give anyway. Like it has been stated allready, why mod if you cant have the full potential.
