Default TC Install Questions

It looks like I'm finally going to install my Fuddle Converter I bought back in August. Since the search doesn't seem to be working it's kind of difficult to find answers to the questions I have. I found this write up which I'll use for the install.

On to the questions:

1. Are there any other tools that will be handy to have aside from what the write up said?

2. I'm also installing a Hayden transmission cooler and from what I've found there are two ways to install it: "Dope" style or in front of the radiator like this. Is either method clearly better than the other? The radiator install looks much easier overall.

3. What new transmission oil/filter should I use? I think I'm not going to go synthetic since I don't see a reason to.

4. Is there anything else I should replace while doing this install?

5. From what I read earlier the break in period is essentially driving around for about 100 miles without really stomping on it. Does this sound about right?

6. I've never replaced the transmission fluid before. Should I just follow what the car manual says to do or is there a better method?

7. I will need to get a tune to adjust shift points. Will the settings for locking up the converter need to be changed as well? (The stall is 3800/2.4)

Thanks!

I have helped on the install on a few...not worth the pain. On mine I ended up paying a reputable shop to install...the going rate is ~200.00 to 250.00

2001 plus will need minor tuning for torque management.

My dad is going to help me out (father/son bonding time!) and I have a few other buddies that said they'll help if I need it. I really need to start getting more experience working on cars and I'd rather put my money towards tools instead of paying someone else to do it. Thanks for the replies!

Edit: Nevermind. I added more tranny fluid and that solved the problem. Now to break it in, get the shift points changed and have some fun.
