Default Please HELP with a Yank converter.

We just installed a Yank PE4200 and a transgo shift kit on an 02 Z28. The weird thing is when it shifts under normal driving it seems like the transmission is slipping. Then under WOT it does not go below 4800 rpm when it shifts. What I am asking is this normal.

Thanks

edit: It has 3.73 gears also.

Based on the info provided what you are seeing is typical of any high stall converter. My 4000 is the same way.
When I take off from a stop at say 2500 rpm the RPM will stay at 2500 through all the shifts. At WOT mine rpm drops back to 5400 after each shift.

What RPM does your motor turn when leaving from a stop light and keeping up with the traffic?

My Yank SS-4000 is killing me, I'm going back to a lower stall for nitrous.

move the low speed shift points up a few hundred RPM, that will help take out some of the slip out

One more ? when it shifts in to 2 gear, normal driveing it does not start pull till 3000 or 3500. You can pull it into 2 out of drive rolling and it will pull like hell, the only time it feels funney is from a stop when it shift into 2. at WOT it spins 1 then shifts and spins 2 so I don't think it's slipping it's just a 4200 stall, what do you think?
