Thats what I paid too. Alittle more cause I go the Cats though. Raging Mototrsports has them for about 780 I think. Anyway, here are my HP numbers with them. we figured about 320HP before the Headers with my trap times/speeds and vehicle weight. I got 338HP/358TQ (actual dyno, i have the sheet nice and flat)for final numbers. Feels good driving and they sound good as well. They are a biotch to install, helps with help. I did have some issues with the wire install but have since spliced and rerouted the wires and no more problems. No track times yet this year has started for us yet. The SLP's are great if you are going to stay relitivly stock (no more than 410HP) but if you plan on really gearing into it go for the FLP's. I didn't have the money for the FLP's at the time and I am impatient when it comes to these things, if I don't spend it now the wife will take it, so I got the SLP's. Shortly I love my headers and they sound awsome with my Whisper Cat Back.

My Y pipe does not hit my floorboard.
I hear these are on back order for a while.
installed was a piece of cake
no clearance problems and my car is lowered a bit in the front
only problem i have is the coating. 5K miles and they are starting to rust <img src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" border="0">
I'm going threw the same debate you are. The only mod I have is an MTI lid and I would like to get headers. I still can't decide between FLP's or the SLP's. FYI (like someone already mentioned) the FLP's are sold as a package. They come with the headers, cats, ORP, and the y pipe. If you compare the price of that with headers, cats, and y pipe from SLP, the SLP's are actually a little more expensive. In addition, I called SLP and asked if their headers were compatable with the stock y pipe and they said no. You have to install the SLP headers, cats, and y pipe at the same time. Maybe someone with SLP's can verify this.
Thanks

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
I have the slp's THEY DO bang the floorboard, I fixed that with a little cutting and bending though. haha I love mine.
FLP's easer to install
give nice power
fine quality
some problem with hitting floorboard
good clearance
a few problems (not many) with the coating
Affordable.
SLP's Fuggin hard to install
nice power
fine quality
do not hit floorboard
with high flow cats little ground Clarence 6-7 inches
very good coating
not to affordable
I can say my SLP's sound great and I got a very good SOTP feel especially with torque. I'm not sure on HP numbers to tell you the truth I don't think thee are a whole lot of us out here with SLP's. I could be wrong. I would like to see some Dyno numbers myself on the SLP's.
