Months after I installed the TCI SF3000 I reviewed my
gas logs and found no difference in highway or around
town. It's really an efficient converter (as good as stock
and a whole lot more fun, though not as hard-core as
most).

If you have to romp madly about town with your 4900
stall, however, you might see some decline in economy.

I didn't see enough of a change with my Midwest 3200 to notice.

I haven't driven on the Fuddle 4000 enough to know yet (winter ) But it shouldn't change the highway mileage.

nope none at all... however once i did 3.73s and air and egr delete i did went from almost 19 mixed highway and city, mainly city and all highway 25 to city/highway mid 17s and highway 22 to 23. not too bad for a car that runs 11s if u ask me converter was the best mod i have done to the car

I changed my mind, I did see a decrease in mileage. Only because the stall made it too much fun, I couldn't keep my lead foot out of the gas.

i dropped from 250 miles a tank to 150-175 after gears, stall and cam, I went from 250 a tank to 200 with gears and the stall. I think all your calculations are a little off.

It's been several months since I checked mine, sure I lost some from the stock TC/2.73's but can't say how much. Think I got 29 HWY once when stock on a trip. My last figures were 15.8/24.2 I also have my in gear idle bumped up to 760. My "city" mileage averages about 40 MPH between lights though, not bumper to bumper traffic.

I didn' t really notice a decrease. I only get about 175 miles a tank, but, that' s because I spend 20 minutes in traffic and 10 minutes on the freeway on the way into work and 10 minutes on the freeway and 35 minutes in traffic on the way home. It sounds bad, but, without that stop-and-go, it would definately get better.

i see you went with 3:42 gears. are you happy with your choice or do you wish you went with 3:73's. the reason i ask is i have 2:73's and am planning on swapping them out but still want decent gass milage and 60 ft times.

I dropped gas mileage when my stall went in, but I've also got a TCS 4200. The around town unlocked just kills the gas mileage. I used to be around 20mpg mixed driving before, now I'm down to about 17mpg mixed.

I am very happy with the 3.42 gears, I don't think I would have liked the 3.73's for the mere fact that when I am on the highway, at 80 mph i am at 2.5k rpms, and I like weaving in and out of traffic so I go 80-100 and back down, well my rpms will go from 2.5k to 3.2k, wouldn't want to imagine what 3.73's would do, plus I don't like keeping my car at 3k for extended periods of time.

I love my 3.42's and 3.23's would be fine, but 3.73's would be overkill, IMO. I lost some hwy mpg going from 2.73's to 3.42's, but nothing in town. My converter cost me 1-2 mpg in town but nothing on the hwy. The in-town loss is probably due to the fact that the verter feels best with a little more throttle than the stocker would require.

My mileage has stayed the same through all my mods from stock to what is in the sig spanning 5 years. 18mpg in mixed city & 75mph freeway driving. Amazing for a 12.5 second car through cats & full exhaust!
