Thanks in advance, Kyle <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
so i got a 3600 vig for 620 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> now they are 720 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
also a friend of mine had one in his 99 formula(azzkicker)
he took me for a ride and after wards i had to have that converter... another friend got one also for his 99Z28, went 12.2 on a sucky 60 and 2.73 gears...
but it there wasnt anything i didnt like with the yank.. just couldnt pay the price for the 4000+ stalls
oh and check out our club, EFA... we just added NJ as a state also <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> link in siggy

<strong>if anything get a yank ST3800 or so

That is the converter of choice in todays conveter market in my opinion. (If I was just starting out)
You will have 95% of the performance of the best conveters out there. Great drivability and man... once you put some REAL tires under there your gonna launch like a freaking rocket.
The drivability would be comaparable to the Vig 3200 (really 3800) verter but would kick that vig's *** at the track or on the freeway. (apples to apples)

Converter "looseness" has alot to do with gearing and mods done...
Everyone has a different opinion on what's "to" loose.

Looseness is also a reflection of shift extension and efficency. Converters with greater shift extension and higher efficency will feel looser. However, they generally win the races from a roll.
I had very good success with a ST3500 before upgrading.
<strong>Umm, apples to apples ... I ran a Vig 3600 car with my TP-4400 from a roll.. the Vig car got smoked <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

if you have the cash, sure get the yank.. if you want a nice bang for the buck, the vig rocks.. regardless you will be happy
oh and john, i lost 200 pounds.. rematch time <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />
Thanks, Kyle
if anything get a yank ST3800 or so
i love my Vig3600, NO PROBS AT ALL.. its a little sloppy on normal shifts(no shift kit here) but at WOT its awesome.. and talk about lighting tires up from anything under a 20 punch...
with any verter swap, u may need a HPP3 or LS1 edit.. to change the shifts points.. alot of guys have probs tagging the rev limiter on 2-3, i had to lower my 2-3 shift by 300 rpms...
its gonna feel like a beast at first, but trust me on this.. after a few weeks you want more stall lol, even with a 3600 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
i run nittos and luanch at 1100 rpms, idle launches the nittos wont hold... et streets should knock another 2 tenths off my best... 1.60 on nittos and et streets should get me 1.54's or so.. but im not gonna risk it with the 10 bolt..
everyone claims yanks best, but i dont see really any difference.. maybe the yanks are more effecient, but the vigs haul butt in my opinion...
just flip a quarter, cause this will stress you out wondering which is best

but i had a yank and went to vig lol <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
