Default Guys running th400

Any of you running a converter that was not custom built for an LS1? I'm planning on doing this and need to know where I can get an adapter to act as a spacer between the converter and flexplate or some ideas what you guys used to keep the converter snug against the tranny.

Thanks

some people say its dangerous to run without one so i would suggest you get one or have a longer "nose" welded on to your converter.

oh and instead of trying to explain a "th400 in an LS1" just tell them your running a 3/8" rear motor plate and need the converter "nose" extended 3/8".

Who would be able to extend the nose of a converter? I'm assuming you can't just take it to any welding shop since balancing and what not is a must.

TCi makes them like that, and I believe so does Yank. I ordered one from Fuddle and I will how I like it when it comes in and get it installed.

Well I already have the converter it's just not setup for an LS1 it was actually intended for a BBC but never got installed. I'm starting to think that crank spacer may be the way to go. What all does the installation of that require? And it's just a "6.0 Crank Spacer"?
