HELP! installing vig 3200/ remove check ball at end of input shaft?
should I remove this check ball?
I have a TransGo kit installed with their fix for the converter lockup, so the clutch lockup is just right!

I contacted Dana @ Pro-Built Trans., who I purchased the Trans-go kit from, and the first thing he asked me was if I had removed the check ball. I told him no, and that I have never even heard of doing that. It was not stated in the Trans-Go instructions, nor was ever mentioned by Yank. And being on these boards daily for over 3 years, you think it would have been brought up before. I have yet to contact Mike @ Yank, but I am afraid that will be my next course of action.
Is my lock-up clutch shot? The converter is still under warranty, although it will be a hassle to remove it and wait for it to be repaired. What part of the Trans-Go kit deals with the converter lockup issues? The instructions don't really specify what each modification does.

I don't see how your converter can be at fault if it had worked flawlessly for over a year. Sounds like there are transmission factors that are making it do this.

If the converter wasn't shuddering in your other car, then it is not the converter. Sounds like your pressure is down and its not holding the lock-up clutch on. You might try putting a presure guage on it and see what it is reading at lock-up and compare it to spec.

I don't believe any of these would have an effect on line pressure.
I work at a GM dealership, so hopefully I can recruit out trany tech into hooking up a gauge and going for a test drive.
