Default Noticeable difference between SS3600 and SS3800?

Would you be able to tell the difference if you drove two identical cars and weren't told which was which?

Car 1: Yank Super Stock 3600 2.50 STR
Car 2: Yank Super Stock 3800 2.55 STR

And how do you order the 3800, since it is not on the website?

Don't know. The STR of the SS3800 is 2.55 and the SS3600 is 2.50. I guess in order to get it now is either call Dave at Yank or see if any of the other sponsors are carrying it.

ask yank and aslo you can get any str you want when you have your converter built. I have a SS3600 with a 2.2 str...

we still make this SS3800 converter and the big difference is the shift extension in the SS style of converter a 200 rpm stall increase will give a 400 shift extension increase
all you have to do is call us
or on order of SS3600 state you want the SS3800
I will add a list of new stalls this week to the site
at new super low prices

Wow so there is a good amount of difference in performance. That is exactly what I was looking for, hard numbers to compare.

What does that put the shift extensions at for the two converters?

And can you feel the difference daily driving or are they too close to really notice?

And I noticed the pricing! I was just about to order yesterday when I posted this thread and now they are $100 off

The shift ext. a function of the torque produced at the RPM point that the converter STR quits it will be diff. from car to car with diff mods but quessing about 5200 to 5400 range
in driving around town they will feel very close.
But if you climb a grade from a stop you will notice the RPM climb higher on the SS3800

I went with the SS3600 because that shift ext. sounds too high for my stock motor car (N2O in the future). That would only give me about 800rpm until it shifts again. So i'm guessing the SS3600 would do around 4800-5200?

Took advantage of the new deal too
