I would like info on the QTP's?

I guess I know already that Kooks you have to pull a header off the pass. side to get the trans out from helping a buddy out, but are there any tricks w/o pulling the header?

Right now I just run a hooker and the A4 just clears the Y and the collectors...

Thanks for your time

I installed my Yank SS4000 with the QTP's still in place. Also, I did not remove the QTP Y-Pipe either.

I see old Speedo is at it again! Someday you'll believe me?! (right?) Until then I guess you'll just have to do things the hard way and do the work yourself to find out the answers. Traver

Thanks for the critisim, but I guess I am not as gifted as you so sorry if I offended you.

I was looking for 1 7/8 header options and info on the QTP's from peeps that have them.... you know what I think of the Kooky's already with their awesome customer service and such.

I don't give a crap about the crap ...

I don't care if its Kooky's, QTP or JO MAMA's headers just want options on a bigger header if I am to stick with the 4L60. With the level of power I am at on the bottle that trans is coming down more than I want it to, and anyway I can make it painless you know I am into it.....aka fuel door mod...

I have the QTP 1-7/8 headers and left them installed when I removed and installed the A4 trans. However I did remove the Y for clearance and working space.

Thanks for that bit of info. How long ago did you get your QTPs cause I guess there not making anymore 1 7/8's until they get more demand. I emailed them on monday about some headers.

Thanks again....

I have the kooks 1 7/8 x 2 stepped with 3.5" collectors. I have taken the trans out a couple times and never removed the headers, just the Y pipe. This is on jackstands in my garage alone. Cant see why you would have to pull the headers???
