Stuck trans dipstick
Ok I'm a noob to the 4thgen but this looked pretty simple, pull up the lever and pull out the dipstick, except the thing won't budge. The lever moves up & down but the darn dipstick won't pull out. I've tried pulling harder, twisting but I don't want to break it off. How does this darn thing come out? Of course the manual just says flip up the handle and pull it out..duh. Help! I want to change the fluid soon.

The previous owner had it serviced at a EZ Lube close to here, I think I'll take it back there and play dumb and ask them to show me how to check the fluid. If they give me any trouble I'll tell them to check their records and see that they were the last to service it 30k miles ago.

The EZ Lube guy pulled and twisted pretty hard on it for a minute and it finally came out. The rubber seal at the top was just bone dry and really stuck. Once out I smeared a some trans fluid from the stick onto the rubber seal and now it's working perfect again.
