Default Will LT1 trans work w/LS1 engine????

I am planting an LS1 in my b-body car. Will an LT1 4L60e tranny bolt up and work with the LS1? I have an LT1 stall too, will these both work behind the LS1?

It'll work just like the conversions to the th350's, th400's. Same thing, you need a '98 flexplate and a spacer. You'll still onlt have 5 bolts holding it in place but it's just like a th350,400 swap.

I keep hearing conflicting stories about this swap. If I can use the trans, how big of a spacer do I need for the tranny and where do I need to place the spacer?

Where are you hearing conflicting stories, you have two posts here. I have seen this question asked so many times here I can't believe you cannot find and answer.

As long as you use the LT1 4L60E converter it bolts up just like a th350, 400, 700, etc. OR you can get a custom built converter made for an LT1 4L60E with a crank pilot for an LS1 crank.

You need the spacer GM part# 12563532 (put that in the search box here).

Spacer picture.

Non sponsor site so I won't put up the name.

Here is more info I put that part number in google and found all this, and theres more.
