Yank, Fuddle, Vigilante are in my top picks
the way i remember it is, Yanks are one of the best but cost the most as well
Fuddles have great performance at a great price
Vigilantes ive heard are damn-near bullet proof, but stall higher than advertised(a 3400 would be more around 38-4000) and are about average in price

I had a TCI and got rid of it for a Fuddle. The Fuddle is much better.

I vote for the Vig
All of them on your list are quality converters, except ive heard a lot of bad **** about TCI from tranny builders.

Yank gets my vote. However isn't Vigilante that gives you one free restall? That can come handy if you do not like the character or performance of the converter.

If it is 60 days, that is plenty of time to decide whether you like it or not. I know for me it is.

Hey do all you guys have built tran's or not.I just installed 3400 stall w trans cooler not 2500 miles ago now trans is toast.any body else have this happen. Car has 53000 miles on it. Wonder if I should go with a lower stall. Really liked how it felt for the 2500 miles it worked.

I have used 3 high stall torque converters and still on the original transmission. The Yank gets might vote I have used Midwest as well and was not happy with them. I have messed around with the TCI's and they were alright. With TC's, there are fan's for each of them and it comes down to:

1. Get the Stall/STR that you want
2. Customer Service
3. Price
