Default TH 400 Guys Come Up

Getting ready to install my new Hughes TH 400 and wanted to know how you guys dealt with your flex plate? New one? Or did you redrill the old one?

I used a TCI flexplate with my TH350

I went with a continental ls1-to-th400 converter. Didn't have to drill new hole, elongate any holes or use spacers. I am going to get the tci flexplate just for sfi cert though.

Did the LS1 just bolt right up? that simple on the th400???

Yeah, it is the same bellhouse bolt pattern except you only use 5 of the bolt holes. The only thing is that the ls1 crankshaft is .400" shorter than a genI chevy so you need a spacer or a converter built with the correct face plate.

Invest in a good flexplate, I have a billet steel one peice flexplate made by meziere. Its worth the extra$$$ knowing my foot is safe. I also have the JW Ultra bellousing on my th400
