also, is the 4L60E-HD2 a kit that lets you keep the auto shifts?

the reason i ask this is cause i bought the HD2 kit today and the guy at the trans shop wasnt too sure about its fitment, and thats when i found the other part numbers. i just wanted to make sure i had the right one.
also, which part is the pressure regulator? the guy that answered the phone at transgo said that it was changed and to not mess with it. i cant find it on the install sheet. is it refered to as something else?

also where can i get that metal piece to replace that plastic cover on the outside of the trans? i might as well replace it while i have it off.
the kit seems to shift pretty quick with light throttle, but not head jerking quick. i like it the way it is, but i might see about putting that third washer in after i replace the torque converter
ill look at the instructions when i go back to the garage
I experimented with mine to the point that I had to get a new plate and start over.
But now my shifts are firm enough with the stock 093 servo that a billet second would be overkill IMO plus it could break a stock band. Now the fourth might be a good idea.
There is no plastic servo cover that I know of. The only plastic stuff was the 1-2 accumulator piston and the forward accumulator piston. And BTW before you order these you need to remove them and look at the pin size so you know what aluminum ones to get, or get the pinless ones.
Getting the servo done right (the stuff under the cover on the side of the trans) takes some judgement, it doesn't help that the instructions are kind of vague. It says add shims until the band wiggles 1/8" or more. Personally if you get no pause of any kind during the 2-3 shift at all throttle positions, and you are going to have a tough time getting the cover and servo out (floor pan clearance) I'd leave it alone.
does anyone know how much more holding power (percentage wise) the transgo springs in the servo are over stock? the ones im looking at are 18, 35 and 40 over the vette (which, i dont know how much more it it than mine). im thinking about maybe getting the 18 intermediate, then the HP overdrive (4th) servo if these will work out better than the trangso springs
also, thanks for all the replies. this is really helping for a guy that doesnt know much about transmissions.
