Default How to launch with a 4000 stall?

Just installed a fuddle 4000 stall in my 99 Camaro SS. And now my car cant hook worth a ****. It just kills the tires everytime I launch. So my question is how do I launch with a 4000 stall?

Thanks,

you will likely have to brake stall it to 2500 or so, flash it, then go to WOT

What type of tires do you have, and are you talking about "street" grip or drag strip grip? Is your converter a 2.4 str and do you race the car at the track at all? I was recommended that I use the same converter but I'd like to know a little about it's "real world" characteristics.

Yeah its a 2.4 str. I have never been to the track yet but i will very shortly. I Can't wait. The car is my daily driver. I was planning on getting a pair of MT drag radials.

I dead hook my SS4000 with M/T DR's and pull the front tires doing so. 5th run with that setup took two teeth off my spider gears in the 10 bolt. Was stalling it to 1500rpm on the line then mashing it.

I had some crappy ET Streets and they wouldnt hook... I think it was because they were old and not in the best of shape. My nittos are WORTHLESS for launching. I to this day, have pulled my best 1/8th mile times on my BFG Drag radials,
