I am bringing this back again. Has anyone just found the pin connectors that go to the computer and you can just link them up there?

so if I get a new/the right reluctor wheel can I just hook up the ecu/pcm to the trans and not have to mess with my abs at all

We no longer have the speed sensors but we still have the reluctor wheels and pig tails. The sensors are only available from PATC and they're not cheap. To answer your question yes that should work.

You MIGHT get lucky and find one on a junk yard TH400 unit but you're rolling the dice on it working or not.

I was told today that I could use a VSS out of a 1989 Chevrolet SS 454 truck and it would allow the speed odometer work correctly. Anyone ever used this and did it work correctly?

that is where the factory sensors everyone is talking about come from. you may get lucky if you can find some. but you need the reluctor wheel, sensor, pigtail.

We have the reluctor wheels (40 tooth and 17 tooth) along with with the pig tails. you just need to find a good sensor! that's the hard part.

Thanks for your help I will be in touch once we decided if my trans has the reluctor wheel in it already.

Am I following this correctly? To get the speedometer working when you have a TH350 400 or PG I'm to remove the VSS sensor plug from the harness for the manual transmission and solder in the connector for the right or left front ABS/VSS sensor to it and then plug it into the harness for the front wheel hub assembly? I'm hoping someone who's done this before is still around and can answer this for me. Seems more and more of the people to these old threads don't even post anymore.

2-wire signals are just VR flying magnet, you just have to adjust for the teeth/tire diameter/absence of rear gear ratio. Front hubs should be 47 tooth.
