best place for tranny cooler

best place for tranny cooler whats the best place to install a transmission cooler? I think i need to get one! The transmission has been running a bit hot, and I would like to know which cooler you guys reccomend and where to install it. Thanks in advance!
I have a B&M hi tek cooler in my 94.
I only have about 100 miles on the TH400 swap but my trans temps don,t go over 150. I only have a couple stalled up launches but the temps seem to be fine.
I installed mine right in front of the radiator, and though I have a perma cool fan sitting in the garage I don,t think I am going to need it.
A nice B&M cooler installed in series with your radiator will cool your trans down quite a bit.
I did not have a tranny temp guage when I had my 60E in the car but after installing a cooler my temps went down, I know because my E brake handle would get so hot you could barely touch it but after the cooler install it would just get warm.

do any modifications to the surrounding area need to be made to fit it there? also, how do you attach it to the radiator?
also did you put it in line before or after the stock cooler, meaning does the fluid go to the stock cooler or the aftermarket cooler first? Is there any pro's or cons to which comes first?

Bypass the radiator. It heats up the trans fluid. The trans will stay cooler, if you just run it thru the cooler only.

Yeah some of the tranny builders say to run both but I bypassed the radiator cooler and my tranny temps don,t get over 150.

I have FTRA. Befor i had it i had it infront of thr radiator. Now its on the lower left side of the air dam. You can see it if you look under the car. Its been there for 2 years and no problems. Stay away from parking to close to parking blocks

so bypass the stock cooler completely?? Wierd. I thought I had to do both. I am in the process of doing a m-6 to a-4 swap, and thought I had to buy an auto radiator, but now you say I shouldn't waste my time? That would be cool if I didn't!

Much simpler and very effective.
I run a 4k stall in a Rossler TH400 RMVB and the tranny temps stay at 165 in the heat.
