Tune after Converter?

Tune after Converter? I am getting a Vig 3200 stall and B&M cooler. I've heard its best to get a tune after installing and aftermarket converter. Is this true? Is it really that neccessary? If so, what specifically will I need to get tuned in a tune?

Yes u do need to get a tune, due to the fact that u will be hitting the rev because the rpms are going to climb up alot faster than ur speedo. U have a good chance of bending a pushrod, or blowing ur motor etc.... if u dont get it tuned.

Im not sure that that info is 100% correct. I spoke to Yank yesterday about a converter and he said to dyno the car, see what my peek HP is and then whatever stall I buy to then take off 200RPM's on shift points and it would be almost perect. Of course I am comparing this $100.00 mail in tune from FastChip in Tulsa who wants $600.00 for a dyno tune!! I cant belive how expensive that is. My car doesnt make that much HP, even though I have not had it on a Dyno at all I would suspect somewhere around 350hp to 375hp. I cant justify to my bank account $600.00 for a dyno tune that might give me 10 or 15 hp more. In my particular case it makes more sense to do the mail in thing for a hell of alot less. Your thoughts?
