Speed Inc. is selling the B&M shiftkit and the TransPac for '98 and up 4l60e's. This is the first time I have seen them for LS1 cars, I thought they only made them for '97 and older but I guess they have them for us now. They look to be simpler to install then the TransGo, and the Transpak allows you to change the downshift points. Anyone running them?

I just double checked, and the part #'s for the LT1 and LS1 kits are the same. I thought the kits for the '97 and older 4l60e's wouldn't work for us. Why would a well known sponsor sell them specifically for LS1's if they didn't work? Know I'm confused.

Try calling Speed Inc. and asking them. It might be a typo...

I would not use the electronic B&M shift kits. They raise line pressure a lot and several tranny failures were traced to them about 1 - 2 years ago.

Better to use a transgo kit. If you do it electronically, use an HPP3 on 25% or 50% setting.

It's not the electronic shift improver kit. It's the regular type shift kit, you have to drop the pan to install it.
