Default Firmer shifts

I came across a thread on here of how to adjust the firmness of your shifts by taking off the transmission pan and adjusting a screw by 1/8 of a turn for firmer shifts and 1/4 of a turn for tire barking shifts. Anymore is damaging to the trans.

I can't find the thread? it had a link to a page about this.

I have my trannny out at the moment and wondered wether it was worth doing?

You can adjust pressure with computer or shift kit, never heard anything about a screw for adjusting pressure !

Same here; I've always heard of adjusting pressure with a computer or kit.

Never heard of that before...sounds risky considering the price of a Shift Kit

This mod is going to raise the mechanical line pressure.
All of the hydraulics will see more pressure full time. It
is a "big hammer" approach to a "screwdriver" problem.

I wouldn't mess it around without line gauges and a good
idea of what max pressure should be; "1/4 turn" from
who knows where? Factory slop could be to the high or
low side?

Ok Jimmyblue thanks for the advice, It's just that I came across that thread while searching for something else and I wondered why no one else was doing it!

I can see why if it raises pressure to much everywhere, I'll leave it alone!
