Default yank and PI

I am buying a converter tomorrow and have been going back and forth on which one. Just easing my mind by putting this up and seeing what I get for responses before I place final order.

Daily driven car, street tires (may do DR's some day)headers, catback all stock internals. Just a fun daily driven car. Very little track time.

Yank 3600 2.5 str or PI 3200 2.4 str?

Lots of people say they like YANK but can I get some opinions on the Vigilante.

Thanks Guy's..I know it gets old anwsering these questions, but I can never find the exact questions in a search

My impression from reading this forum on an almost daily basis for several years is that there have been fewer reports of problems with Vig than any other brand. Most guys who have them seem happy with them. SS3600 owners seem also to love that converter. JMHObservations.

My first converter was a Vig3200, it has been the best converter I have ever used. It lasted well over 60K miles on my 2001 Camaro SS ... and I bought it used, here back in 2002. The Vig3200 is by far (IMHO) THE best street converter for the LS1 hands down. You won't be disappointed.

My first two converters were a Vig2800 and a Vig3200 and they were great street/strip converters. As I moved more towards a track/street car I went with a Yank 4400 and then to a TCI 4000. I have not had any experience with the lower stall Yank or TCI converters but I am sure they are a good product as well.

kinda stupid if you ask me to buy a used converter. You will have to send it back to PI to have it flushed. Unless you trust someone you don't even know.

VIG 3200 here, 2+ years of extreeme heat & track nitrous launches. I went through 2 motors but my VIG still holds up and is gonna sit behind the 6.0L I'm putting in now.

I understand the gamble but it is a pretty safe bet IMO. My buddy has bought two stalls used and both work great. The guys is in constant contact and seems like he knows his stuff. Sometimes some of us don't have the cash to buy everything new.

You'll be surprised what that VIG3200 will put down if you can get your set up dialed in.

I think I've tried every brand of converter out there except for a Fuddle and the Vig 3200 I'm running now is hands down the best street/strip converter I've ever used. It drives like a stocker at low speeds, lets me cut 1.5 60' times at the track, and refuses to break.
