Default SY3500 or SY4000

Here goes I was pretty much set on the SY3500 but I'm now thinking of the SY4000(STR ?). I go to the track about 4 times a year, most of my time I street race from about a 50mph roll. I plan on adding 3.73 gears also. Will the SY4000 be too much for a stock car? I plan on adding headers and a cam in the near future also. Which one would be better from 50mph roll? Thanks in advance!

Thanks Paul

You can get a SY-3500 with a 1.86 str of the 4000. Great converter.. had one in my 99 SS.

Get a Pro Thruster 4000, it's better than all those mentioned and still streetable with a stock motor.

You'll pedal a SY 4000 off the line on the street, the YTP 4000 will not be too harder to do. Excellent power from a roll and at the track if you run good tires you can cut some nice 60' times.

Thanks for the replys. First what is STR of the YTP4000. I also plan on running 315 Nittos, will that be enough tire for the street. What kind of 60' times can I expect to cut with some E.T streets at the track. Sorry for all the questions just want to try and get this right the first time!

Thanks Paul

hehe.. I've ran 12.15 @ 111 (1.63) on 315 Nitto's <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> with a UT-4600 2.9+ STR <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Key factors..
Great track.. and a ginger throttle <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

STR of the YPT4000 is around 2.2 or 2.3. It's actually pretty mild to the tires, but gives a punshing mid-range push. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
