When I installed mine I had to grind on the tranny case to get it to go into the hole. Also, when I remove the stock tube a bunch, about a quart, of ATF leaked out the top of the hole that the tube goes into. Does this mean that I was overfilled? The dipstick reads full, so I havnt added any ATF yet. The car drove fine, but I didnt go WOT yet. What do you all think?

Dan, they should just make the 36" without a ustom order. Firewall mount my ***, this isn't a 3rd gen.
Blk02, I had to grind part of the dipstick housing to get it past the tranny case and to seat into the hole. As for your overfill, yeah, it seems like it. It shouldn't leak out when the unit is pulled from the case.

I'm picking one up for a TH400 setup and although not advertised for some reason, there is a part number for a 36" version. I wonder if they have one for the 4L60 as well. Why is everyone changing there dipstick anyway?
About the tranny fluid coming out if you pull the tube out of the tranny, that is not good, you are way overfilled and I would correct as soon as possible. Everyone is checking their fluid level with the car running and hot right?

I changed mine because it broke and I already had the heads and tranny back in. So I cut it out and replaced it with the Lokar because it's flexible and I could snake it in.
