Question T56 -> powerglide swap, help!!

Im going to be intalling a powerglide into my 2000 WS6 that currently has a t56. There are a few things that i have questions about. Here is a list i made up of the parts i need (if there are more, please let me know so i can add them). The parts with an * beside them are the parts i have questions about -

BMR powerglide crossmember w\ torque arm mount..............$250
tranny lines and cooler............................................ .........$60
torque converter......................................... .....................$?
shifter........................................... ..............................$150
TCI flexplate......................................... ........................$200
Lokar Dipstick.......................................... .......................$60
Driveshaft*

Driveshaft- Will my stock t-56 driveshaft work? if not, what will i have to do?
flexplate- will a gen I&II SBC flywheel work with my LS1? if not, what will?
Dipstick- Does anyone know of a dipstick that i can use on my T/A (and beable to poor ATF in without any major complications)?

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide.

i would just buy a TCI flexplate, there about $200 but will solve your problems for good.

check Madman performance (link to it thunderracing.com ) and give them a call for a dipstick.

i'm sure your gonna have to get a longer driveshaft, your stocker will work on a th350 with the longer 9" tailshaft but its longer than a glide.

Thanks for the help, i checked out the TCI flexplate, looks good so that solves that. Any idea how long the driveshaft has to be? or how much shoter a glide is compared to the long tailshaft TH350?

lokar makes custom dipsticks... steal braided and very flexible. they're usually $100 bucks. i've filled my TH400 through that dipstick.

Anybody got any idea what i should do about the driveshaft? I have a driveshaft out of a 68 camaro that had a powerglide in it, any idea if that will work?

When swapping from the factory 6 speed or 4 speed auto, do you have to make any other changes to the car? PCM or anything else to work with the powerglide. I'm thinking of building a bracket car (98-02 LS1 Firebird), but haven't decided on the car or how tedious this conversion will be. Any help.
