local racer does. he is camaroSS i believe here. he is a "cam only" car with very little weight reduction. runs 11.40s in average air. good converter.

Why shouldn't someone spray a converter? I bought a Fuddle 4400 and was planning on running a 150 shot. I let them know that when it was being built and they didn't tell me anything about NOT running N20 on it. Is his stall just a weaker stall or is that for most converters?

then you didnt make yourself clear to john @ fuddle. he would never sell you a 4400 stall ( rated at n/a tq levels) and then spray a 150 shot on top of it.

its an extremely simple concept, reguardless of WHO builds ANY stall converter. teh more tq input, given a constant stall converter, the higher it will flash to. i wouldnt be surprised if a converter that is probably rated to stall at 4400 rpms @ 400 ft lbs of tq will flash to 5000-5200 on a 150 shot (read, tons of additional tq)

Well with drag slicks I'm sure I'll be fine flashing to 5000. I'll be running a TRex and as long as I get traction it should be a fun ride! I don't imagine it will be a problem hitting a 150 shot from a cruise either.

I don't think it's a matter of if you "can" spray that converter. It's more a matter of being optimal performance wise.

You're shift extension will be ver high with that converter and you'll only be using the added torque from the nitrous very briefly.

When spraying, you want to "ride the torque" and let the torque move the car by giving it more time to work in the powerband(a tighter converter/less gearing).

NA applications don't make that kind of torque and therefore need higher shifts extensions to keep them in their peak powerbands up top.

All in all I don't think you'll gain nearly as much on spray with that converter as you would with one greared more toward N20.
