Default Funky Idle after Converter install

I put a TCI Super Streetfighter (3500) in my cr this past weekend and now every time I give it gas and let off at slow speeds the idle will go way low. If this happens when I am going around a turn it will die. Is there anything I can do about this?? I love the converter as this is just about the only problem I have.

TIA

Stephen Heine

Two things will help: do the idle relearn and/or turn the throttle stop screw in a tad (takes a torx T15 bit).
I've never had mine die, but I've not been able to get rid of the surging completely. I'm used to it, though.

My idle would bounce around and the engine died on my a few times but MAXIMVS is right on, LS1 Edit took care of it.

PCM relearn Quick & Dirty method:
1) Pull the PCM BAT and PCM IGN fuses.
2) Let car sit 10 minutes
3) Turn Key to on and then turn off
4) reinstall fuses
5) start engine
6) allow to idle for 2 minutes in park, then 2 minutes in drive, and 2 minutes in reverse.
7) repeat #6 if you have time or if the idle felt rough.

I just raised the idle via the TB set screw, and all was good. I had my idle sitting at ~625 RPM.

I had the same problem when I first installed my Yank. I turned the idle screw a bit and it fixed the problem. Good luck.

i've done idle relearn on my car and it still does the same thing that is happening to you man.

the throttle screw i did also...idle raised a tad but doesn't solve the problem either. at least for me.

so i had to buy LS1 Edit. and i'm sure THAT will fix it
