Lockup speeds?

Where do you guys have your lockup speeds set at? The tuner set mine to 45mph so while driving in city it's always unlocked. I don't mind it but there are times when I think about it getting set to a lower speed.

Locks up in 4th @ 37mph and 3rd @ 25mph. Stock settings though, haven't messed with them at all.

I had my tuner det mine to lock up at 28-35 in 3rd, and 38-45 in 4th, depending on how much throttle is applied. I still get like 16mpg

Mine locks up at 45 in 3rd and 45 in 4th. I'm with you, because, most of my driving is in and around town and 35 mph probably would be ideal.

mine is set at 51 in 3rd and 4th.i didn't like the bogging feeling of a lower lock up.but i pay for it at the pump(9-10mpg in town)

im 45 in 3rd and 4th, although it lugs the motor a good bit in 4th until about 55-60mph. i drive around in city traffic usually in 3rd. 2.73's btw.

35 in 3rd, 50 in 4th. That puts me just above 1500rpm when she locks in each gear which is just above the point of her feeling like she's bogging.

Exactly - below 1500 is the bog point for the LS1 with converter locked. I set mine to 42 which is just below that with my gears but works well for thoroughfares with a 35 or 40 mph speed limit. I deleted lock-up in 3rd altogether so I can always drop into third when I need the responsiveness.

Question for you guys about lockup speeds that i've been wondering about:

Normally it will not lock in 3rd unless you are in the "3" selection. In OD it will only lock when it reaches 4th gear. Now when you program it to lock in 3rd in the OD selection (D on Pontiacs) does it unlock quick to go into 4th, then lock again? It doesn't stay locked through the shift does it?
