I've put plenty of vids up, you can't go wrong with a high stall, just get a good cooler and some nice sticky tires and you are all set to go.

Man a 4400 for me is an amazing change over the stock feel of the car. I can't wait for 4.10s and the Trex!

That vid on your my space is pretty crazy. What is even more insane is that you have 2.73's and the thing was moving that fast. Do the 2.73's spin alot?

I think I'm going to go with a 4k when i do and keep the 3.73's everyone says it makes a huge difference i can't wait to find out once i get the cash after i get the rear end. If i didn't have to buy a new rear end i would have just got one now. I just think that a 4500 is going to put me in the power range way to fast but then again i don't know i've never been in a stalled car.

The 2.73s are what are actually helping me to hook and hooking is more important than spinning as all of you should know.

Yep thats for sure hooking is definetly more important. I could see the 2.73's working very well to keep tire spin down. I'm just beginning to wonder if the extra weight of the s60 is going to help me with traction. Probably not . Once i get the car running again and can get a tc i will have a better idea of what i want to do. Right now the car just spins the tires so bad and its pretty much stock. I'm hoping the extra weight will help or 315's will solve the problem.

If the tires are spinning bad now, it will get worse with a converter. My street tires were useless with the converter. I have 2 vids, one with street tires and the other with the nittos, I'll post them up. Use drag radials and that will cut down the spinning. I don't even have 315s YET.

This vid was with 1/4 throttle

converter with street tires

This vid I flashed the converter, then floored it. Watch the bobbing heads

Nitto drags and converter

Those vids were with the setup that ran the 12.2 time.

Quick question, If my tune is already setup for a 3500 stall will I have to change anything for a 4000?

yeah i saw the first video it was loading kind of choppy but it finally played right. It just takes off from a stop its amazing how quick it gets going. As much as i want a stick i think the tc like you guys have said will change my mind. Especially after seeing video's like yours. Only once did my car ever take off stupid fast with no wheel spin or anything i was like uhh what just happened there. There was one video on here i seen in a second gear pull it was just amazing how fast it jumped like from 20 - 60.

That was probably my vid where it spun a bit since the tires and street was cold.

2nd gear run (old setup)

Yep it was your video. Does the car feel like a manual when it accelerates like that? The other day the gto felt like a rollercoaster it was just a sick feeling.

Yes it does especially on the old setup. On level ground the car wouldn't roll forward, on hills it would roll back. Now the cam pushes the car forward. When people drove the car and pushed the gas, it surprised them since they could feel the slip of the converter, same feeling as if you was slipping the clutch.

It really sounds like i need a tc bad. Lol to bad gm didn't put like a 3000 stall in the cars stock. Those videos really do show how much more fun and performance can be had with a tc. The acceleration is the first one is just crazy. And the way it jerked you and your friends heads in the 2nd one seems to show it will launch nicely . How do you guys get the car to downshift with out it just losing control instantly? Or is the shift tables completely set up differently?

http://video.ls1tech.com/video/48d3f...d88fafa557.htm

here is a video of my car, 2nd gear pull - ~25-105, this will give you an idea of what a 4k stall and 373s will do with your rpms @ wot. the engine is still untuned, however i did have tqm & shift points adjusted. i had bfg drs on at the time so it hooked, however, with street tires it will lay ~20' of rubber from anywhere sub 35 mph. the car has lid, headers, ls6 intake, 4k stall, 373s.

i dropped .55 off of my 1/8 mile on the STOCK (engine & tranny) tune with only the lid, 4k stall, and gears.

That was sweet. That gives a real nice view of when it stalls up and goes from the guages point of view. For the most part i'm pretty much sold on keeping the automatic in this car from the videos you guys have posted. As stupid as it sounds it seems like it would be cool to be able to lay some strips when you nail it around 35-40mph. After seeing 2 different inside the car views and outside the car views it's pretty easy to see that automatics can be fun.

Oh yeah to answer your question, a good set of drag radials will keep the rear planted on the downshifts.

You need a rearend already? The rears on the autos can last for some time.
