Best Converter This poll is best for the price, not just the best quality. I have noticed that TCIs and Fuddles are around the same price, Yank is a great deal higher as well as Precision Industry's Vigilante.
Im looking for best quality for the amount of cash.

I'm a huge Vig fan...I've had a 3600 in my 95 for 10 years and its awesome. I had it freshened 2 years ago just because I was rebuilding the trans and Precision said it was in incredible shape, even the lockup disk wasn't too bad. Anyway, it drives like a stocker until you nail it, then all hell breaks loose. People who have driven the car can't belive how it "hits"...
Sure, its $$$, but they work well, are extremely durable and efficient converters...

I'm not going to vote because I have only owned (and currently still do) one of the choices above. Therefore, I am not qualified to make comparisons. However, I am happy with my TCI SSF3500. It makes the car a little "lazy" backing up, in a parking lot, etc. but it flashes well and launches the car hard. Car is only running low 11's but can lift the front wheels up to 12" on some launches.
I also had a "PMAC" 2800 stall for a few years. This was from Mike Kurtz's shop in Houston. It worked well too, but I sold it and stepped up to the 3500 a couple years ago.
Probably goes without saying, but DO NOT get a Dacco. I broke two of them in rapid succession back in the mid 90's. They were crap.

I voted for Yank. My wifes car has a Yank in it and it launches hard and has been trouble free for 3+ years. The TCI SSF 3500 lockup clutch in my SS is toast only after a year. I will probally be going back to a Yank or Vig soon.

I have positive experience with Yank, negative experience with TCI, have faith in Vig through second hand info and do not beleive Fuddle has been in this game long enough.
