Default 4L80E for a 1200hp car. I am looking for some answers.

I have done some reading and some research. I have about $3000 to work with.

My car made 934 with the TKO600 and I expect it to make more. About 1200 totally maxed out. I sold all my 5spd equipment and am going to a 4L80E. My AEM computer has the software to run the electronics. So a stand alone is not nessesary.

What else should I get? I can do a Rossler brake in the future. So that save $700. I was thinking about a Precision Triple disk converter. Transgo shift kit. Good clutches, steels and bands. Billet input shaft.

Is this a good start? I am not going full kill for awhile. I don't think I can afford a billet tail shaft/drum with everything else right now. I want to spend the money on the converter because I want it to be locked up in 3rd gear.

Give me some names of some good builders so I can continue my research. Also any suggestions would be wonderful.

Thanks, Jay.

I have the Hughes Street/Strip 80E and I love it. They have a lot of options for the 80E.
