Lower STR's won't hit as hard, but are more efficient up top and take more revs to get moving. Higher STR's are great if you can hook. I wanted the higher STR because I drive a lot more on the street than at the track. And as for the higher STR's being less inefficient up top...Yanks are supposed to keep a lot of their efficiency as compared to other brands. If someone else can explain that better please do. I have been researching this for some time now and feel that I have a decent understanding.
That did help a ton with my understanding thank you.

Weird. Installed a Fuddle 2800/1.8 into an early LS1 weighing 1.8 tons, stock cam, SD tune, exhaust and diff gears. Snaps 1.68-1.70 60' 12.5s QTRs 107.8MPH and can easily break the MT ET Streets off the line.

Just like a cam, a converter is not a solve-all for all your performance woes. Its the package, and if something else is not working right, overall performance suffers.

My Fuddle 3400 traps 122MPH full weight GTO all motor. You could consider looking past the converter and into your tune or other bits. Do you have a baseline before the converter?

I don't know what Fuddle is up to now, but so far his converters have been doing their job for me.

love when people say that--- you have turbos come on now...maybe if you had a yank you would mph a 128-9...ever think of that...do you honestly see anyone with my mods with a fuddle mph in the 115 range at my weight...no fuddles on the SI list to my knowledge...

agree with a pervious postered i will run my yank vs any other SI fuddle converter car aound my weight...even with headers, gears, and a slightly bigger stall

^^Yank's site

SS, PT, etc are different models/series that Yank produces....each has their own characteristics when it comes to performance, daily driving, and so-on. Call them and talk to Dave, go over your goals/plans/use with the car and he'll help you pick the perfect match for it; he's extremely helpful, he helped me out big time after a huge fallout w/ Fuddle.
