If you wanna talk about bang for your buck, there's a local guy here in South Texas (Jr) and his 4L60E's are awesome! Here's a video of 1FastWS6's pass at the track with a Jr Tranny. He's been running 10.0's to 10.30's and cutting 1.3 60's for about 1 1/2 years on the same tranny build! Never been reopened!!! He makes about 3 passes a night and goes to the track about once every month...you do the math! All this for about $1100!!! Of course 1FastWS6 is running a tranny cooler and deep pan.

PerformaBuilt has some awesome trannys and AWESOME customer service too. If anything atleast pick his brain for a bit, get a rounded view of everyone.

I have an RPM stage 5 and it lasted less than 1200 miles!! Not happy, but I bought it used. 3-4 clutch pak is toasted. And I had a vigilante 3600 only and an addtional tranny cooler with electric fan on it.

All this crap on customer service,,,,who cares how nice a shop is after they jacked your rebuild, to me good customer service is giving me a known working trans!
I dont have the time or patience to troubleshoot or remove and replace a trans that i payed someone to properly rebuild.
I voted FLT, they also got my order yesterday

While I agree the product quality is first , I think the reason customer service comes up is because wether it PerformaBuilt, FLT, Rossler, etc eventually everyone will have a trans that goes out and that has and issue and at least from my persective its sure nice to know theres someone I can pickup the phone call and know that someone knowlegable is going to be on the other end on saturday or sunday or whenever I put it in and not and answering machine that just says call back monday. Many times perceived transmission problems particulary when it comes such things as not shifting etc are actually instalation issues that can be easily resolved.
We all hope that every thing will always be perfect but it is nice to know theres someone you can call when they are not. I have spent literally hours on the phone helping customers both ours and some other vendors customers when they couldnt get ahold of someone else solve issues such as broken wires and harness issues, Blown fuses, Bad sensors, bad PCMs etc. Thats what customer service is about and the two run hand in hand quality/customer service in my opinion either is worthless without the other. This particulary applies to todays transmissions as unlike in the old days when you just put it in , it was a stand alone unit so it just worked , Todays transmissions are interdependant on so many other things in the car that sometimes after you install the trans you still have to solve the issue that caused the failure to begin with. And thats where I come in. While it does suck to install a trans and then have to troubleshoot its sure alot better if theres someone you can call for help while you do it.
