Yeah, if you can tolerate a fairly loose converter the PT4000 is a beast for roll racing.

switching from 2.73's to 3.73's is a world of difference, i picked up like 4 tenths in the quarter and a few mph. I did it to my stock rear end, threw a new posi in for like $100 at the time and its still ticking

Unless you're running some really good drag radials, you should be roasting the tires. If not your car isn't running like its supposed to. I can light up my 555R's pretty good with my SS3600 2.5 with a stock motor. Done any 1/4 or 60' tests?
Agreed, I could light my Nitto 555R's up on stock stall and motor! Well... maybe not light up but they still spun decently !

I'm running stock 3.23's and stock verter and pretty much stock everything and from 25mph my car spins badly up to 45-55mph. Running 315's in the back.

Word of advice fellas, check your TPS sensors, mine has messed up ever since I've owned the car and it never went higher than 3.15volts here for the last 9-12months roughly. So even on my last slow run of 8.8 in the 1/8th I was only at 3.15volts out of 4.60 its at now after putting in a new TPS sensor.

yeah it not a bad idea if you already have problems back there just not worth the 500 or so if everything is ok...maybe spend some money on tires and you will get your 7.9...or skinnies up front...much better than the gears...maybe even headers if you want to go the cheap route...pacesetters...only reason why i mention that route is because i saw the fuddle...
