FLEX PLATE INSTALL the spacer I got the new tci flex plate do you have to put the washer space in the flex plate tried it and it puts my motor in a bind or do you use this spacer at all thanks

hughes makes a spacer for the sbc converters to work with the ls1 http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
what i mean is the spacer is not intended for LS1s bolting to 4l60Es, mine definitely didnt like the spacer. it is probably there for if you have a different trans or something mating to an ls1, i dont know hwy i didnt ask that question before i tried my install...
IIRC, the spacer is for "old style" converters. They have a shorter "snout" on them compared to the LS1 converters, which have a longer "snout" therefore there is no need for the spacer if you have a verter for a LS1 application.
