As long as you are using a LS1 converter you will not need the spacer.

So basically buy a TH350 converter, bolt it to my TCI flexplate and say the hell with the spacer?

Yes, as long as you get a converter for a TH350/LS1 application.

what i mean is the spacer is not intended for LS1s bolting to 4l60Es, mine definitely didnt like the spacer. it is probably there for if you have a different trans or something mating to an ls1, i dont know hwy i didnt ask that question before i tried my install...

IIRC, the spacer is for "old style" converters. They have a shorter "snout" on them compared to the LS1 converters, which have a longer "snout" therefore there is no need for the spacer if you have a verter for a LS1 application.

As long as the converter has a LS1 pilot on it you shouldn't need the spacer
