Default Shift Problem!

Okay guy's, I need some help. When I really get on my car, like WOT from first gear, my motor hits the rev limiter before the transmission shifts. It does this when shifting from first to second and from second to third when I am really getting on it. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

It is stock tranny, stock converter, and no tire size change. I jut bought it a few months ago, and just noticed it about a month ago when I raced someone.

If it is slipping, would it be better to rebuild it, or get a performance tranny from one of the sponsors? Which sponsors? Any intput will be greatly appreciated.

I would go with a built unit, Particularly if you are using it as intended a performance car.
Please check out our offerings on our home page .
Thanks

since you bought the car used, the previous owner could of had his hands in the pcm and messed around with shiftpoints and stuff. Might want to get a shop that programs the pcm to scan it and compair it to stock shifting tables..

Well guys, you were right. Today, my transmission went out. When it shifts to 3rd, it goes into free rev. Now I need to know who makes the best transmissions, and who has the best warranty. I want something that isnt going to break right after I get it. Thanks guys.
