Default The Fuddle worked...

So my Fuddle 3400 2.1 bumped me from a 1.97 60ft to a 1.72, just wish i could get the 2-3 shift to work out for me...

well it bangs the limiter at the top of second, only at WOT, if i ease off of it just enough i may be able to get it to shift, but i will definitely have to drop to atleast 4500-4800 for it to even try. i ran a 13.0 trapping 99.09 mph because i banged the limiter and let off before the 1000 ft.

it did this before on my old trans and with the stock converter, so i think it may be a tuning issue, also since the converter it is easier to bang the limiter on the 1-2 also, but it only hits once or twice then shifts...the old trans was definitely toasted though so it is hard to say...

I had the same issue after having my Fuddle 3400 2.1 TC installed. I then got a mail order tune and had the shift points changed along with some other stuff and the car shifts great now.

i already got the shift points changed and line pressure boosted, it was just generic changes though, nothing specific to my setup, we will get deeper into it tomorrow...

my friend with a fuddle had his car do the same thing, even after the rev limiter was raised AGAIN and it was tuned AGAIN.

only thing i could suggest would be turning up line pressure and raising your rev limiter or lowering your shift points. if you set your shift point at 6500 it probably wont actualy shift untill 6700 etc..

stock stall before, although the tires i am running now are slightly taller, may have an effect on the 60ft...

kinda like that i guess, its a little hard to make out in the video...except my 2-3 never really shifts at all, it'll stay at the rev limiter if i hold it...

It is pretty typical for the car to over shoot the shift rpm and bump the limiter with a converter change. You will need to drop the desired wot shift rpm 300 rpm and it wouldn't hurt to lower the wot mph by 5mph. Raising the rev limiter a bit will help also, but I hate going any higher than 6800rpm on a stock block. The limiter is there for a reason.

Any time you spin off the line, you will over shoot your desired shift point rpm so keep that in mind. Dropping the shift rpm and raising the rev limiter rpm gives a little wiggle room for inconsistent launches.

I also add a few quarts of type F trans fluid to help with clutch slipping and it does help. This was recommended by one the top TC builders and it made a significant difference.

Good luck!
