it did this before on my old trans and with the stock converter, so i think it may be a tuning issue, also since the converter it is easier to bang the limiter on the 1-2 also, but it only hits once or twice then shifts...the old trans was definitely toasted though so it is hard to say...

only thing i could suggest would be turning up line pressure and raising your rev limiter or lowering your shift points. if you set your shift point at 6500 it probably wont actualy shift untill 6700 etc..

Any time you spin off the line, you will over shoot your desired shift point rpm so keep that in mind. Dropping the shift rpm and raising the rev limiter rpm gives a little wiggle room for inconsistent launches.
I also add a few quarts of type F trans fluid to help with clutch slipping and it does help. This was recommended by one the top TC builders and it made a significant difference.
