3400 to 3000 stall ???
3500 myself. My TCI 3000 was a pretty good little converter
as far as the performance went, and smooth. What can they
tell you about the clutch and the balancing? These (slip and
misfire unlocks) are a big chunk of the complaining I see. Not
much advertisement of those quality factors, in a meaningful
way. Hard to know. Worth asking.
But that all sounds like mumbo jumbo to me becuase I don;t know much about converters. But theres alot of talk about high quality, know how, advanced, knowledge that would fool a novice like myself to believe there good converter lol.
With 400 stall speed drop, will I really feel any change in performance or mpg noticable?
to address a couple common questions
1- what str are your converters = what str do you want ?
2- what converter clutch material do you use = High friction high temp carbon composite NO KEVLAR!
3- How will your high stalls feel in normal drivng = depends on the str you want everythings a compromise ,
4-Whats the rated hp of you converters= The manufacturer says 1200 hp
we rate conservatively to that at 800+ hp
anything else feel free to ask ill answer or if i dont know since Im not the converter guru
Ill find out for you ,

Yes, I'm just full bolt-ons. I may put a 150 shot and call it quits, at least untill I'm out of college. I have to conserve money for now. The main reasons I'm going with a 3000 is it's cheaper than higher number, will save me some gas money (though I don;t know how much), and think it might be the same as far as performance on Nittos.
But, What does a varience in STR cause as far as drive feel and mpg?
