Well if the converter is locked up it shouldent make a difference what converter anyone else has as long as its a lock up converter. The gear calc says 2400 at 70 in 4th with a 3.73

I have the exact same setup, its probably 2600-2800...it goes up and down easily with the slightest touch of the gas, I would lean more towards 2800. I get very bad mileage on the highway.

Yeah, if it's not fully locking it should be pretty obvious, like losiguy said the RPM's will rise quickly if you just tap the gas and it will be loud!!

Sounds about right, 3000-3100. Its hard to make it exact ecause at that speed the slightest touch of the gas with the 3600 stall makes rpm's vary alot.
Also is very loud with a dumped exhaust.

The RPM's should barely budge at all if the converter is locked, it is a very tight feeling.
If it is unlocked then yes it will slip and "rev" a little. In that case though you are heating up the transmission pretty bad.

In Other Words.. If Locked Up Your Rpms Should Be The Same As They Were Before The Converter....
Really Though Just Lisen And Feel For The Lockup.. I Know In My Car I Can Feel And Count The Shifts And Feel The Lockup.. Or Even Just Wath The Tach.. (once Your In 4th And Holding The Throddle Constant If The Rpms Drop Again It Is The Converter Locking)

yeah thats why i think its not locking ,i mean my rpms sound similiar to everybodys, but i swear i have to be doing 75-80 to get it to lock up. Doing 70mph and give it a little bit of gas the rpms just climb before gaining speed (i.e - its unlocked) just trying to figure out whats going on..was going to send the converter to yank and have them reflash to a ss4000 but its $275 + shipping I thought you got one free restall w/these?
