You heard right:

For the LS1 F-Body, Yank has decided to make only Speciality and Race converters.

Effective Aug 1, 2002, the LS1 F-Body product line will be limited to the following:

ProThruster 4000, 4200, 4400 & 4600 stall
ProYank Extreme 3400 and 3600 stall
SuperYank 3500 and 4000

Yank will accept orders for our current line of converters through July 31. After that, the Stealth, Torque Thruster, Yank, and SuperThruster lines will not be available for LS1 F-bodies. A supply of warranty parts will be maintained to support customers who own these converters.

Yank's product line for LT-1s, vettes, and trucks is unchanged.

That sounds a lot like throwing money away.

I've got a Yank ST2800. Mike at Yank talked me out of the Yank 3000 I was going to get. I guess I'll have to be satisfied with the one I got. Or maybe there's a PI converter in my future.

Do we know the reason for this decision ? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I was under the assumption that the ST-3500 was a kickass convertor !

Why would they stop poducing this if indeed it was so good ? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Probably because of warranty issues. You remember the posts with all the complaints.

Also, they will be selling all LS1 converters direct to the public and not through dealers.
