I have a streetfighter with a rmvb th400 in a 468 powered 3300 pound nova. It's great. It can easily cruise at 2000 rpm and feel pretty tight, but when i stomp the gas it goes up to stall speed. I bought it new about 7 years ago.

Now I also had that converter you list above in my 2002 camaro and it felt loose as hell, but it was rebuilt by another company so I guess my experiences with that one don't count.

how big is your cam?? the nitrous converters are a bit tighter but youll need it when spraying. I have not ran a tci on an ls1 yet. just old small blocks.
pick a stall that advertises a stall speed where your cam powerband comes in maybe go a lil bigger 2. The lock up on OD transmissons make running big stalls no real problem. I ran a yank4400 NA converter on the street with no major problems... untill i tried spraying it!!

I have had it in my car coming up on two years now, about 15k miles, and it has performed flawlessly so far. Great around town and really helped at the track. I recommend a Transgo shift kit with it to preserve the lock-up clutch.

I am only bolt-ons right now, but I have had mine for about 4 months and its great! No problems.
You can drive it pretty much like a normal car, but when you stomp the gas it flashes perfectly. Mine flashes to exactly 3000rpm. I know some stalls flash lower or higher than what they advertise, but not this one.
Anyways, if your lookin into getting one, I would recommend it! I got mine from TSP when they were installing my new trans. Good Luck!

All a shift kit does is Up line pressure, it doesnt nothing to help the lockup in the stall.
In fact, Yank.com say you shouldnt have one on.

The Transgo kit includes a revised TCC valve that eliminates PWM, giving much more positive lock-up. This is important because TCI clutches have been known to be weak and fail prematurely. We're not talking about Yank here. If you're considering a TCI, get a Transgo installed. It's good insurance.
