Default Converter or not "affraid of breaking tranny"

every one i know around where i live that puts a stall in kills their tranny... I mean i have read a few forums and im kinda in the same boat as this guy

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/623140-largest-cam-stock-stall-converter.html
im no bill gates and i can not afford to be putting a new tranny in every 6 months... I mean i know that when you mod you break but like i said every one i know that does it kills their cars in like 2 3 months top.... any input why this happens or what they could be doing wrong
